Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Posted in Uncategorized on June 8, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow looks pretty awesome.. I’m definitely excited to see more of this game. It looks like Kojima may have some involvement with the game, which gives me some hope it’ll be awesome.. but we’ll have to wait and see.

In the meantime.. check out the trailer below.

E3 09: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Posted in PS3 on June 3, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves looks fantastic.. so there really isn’t a point in me trying to talk about it’s newest trailer. It’s better I let it speak for itself, so check it out.

Uncharted 2 is launching later this year, and it’s looking like it’s going to be one of the best games of 09. So if your a Playstation owner, do not pass up on playing this title.

E3 09: Metal Gear Peace Walking To The PSP.

Posted in PSP on June 3, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

Kojima’s been around, that’s all I’m saying. We first saw him at the Microsoft Press Conference showing off the new, Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Then yesterday morning he made his way over to the Sony Press Conference to show off a brand new Metal Gear Solid, exclusive to the PSP.

This new game is called, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and you will once again take on the roll of big boss. It will take place 10 years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3, sometime in the 1970’s.

Kojima said this new game isn’t just a spin off of the franchise, but a true sequel. He also mentioned that he was deeply involved in the script writing for the game, and that the main team from MGS 4 would be involved in the project as well.

Then they proceeding to show off the first ever trailer for the game, check it out below.

I’m definitely excited for anything Metal Gear, and this PSP title is no exception. Kojima said he would be taking full advantage of the PSP’s unique hardware, so I can’t wait to get my hands on the game.

Expect to see Peace Walker sometime in 2010 exclusively on the PSP.

One more thing.. at the end of the trailer you may have noticed 4 Snakes, does that mean we will be seeing some Multiplayer? Stay Tuned!

E3 09: The Last Guardian!

Posted in PS3 on June 3, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

So it turns out that the leaked footage of what looked to be Team ICO’s next game, is 100% confirmed to be real (No kidding right?). And like we thought, the game isn’t going to be called Trico, but The Last Guardian.

The trailer is pretty much the same as the leaked one we got a couple weeks ago, except this time it looks really fantastic. The Griffin (creature thing?) looks gorgeous and very realistic, and really compliments the anime like style of the boy.

Anyway I’m going to stop talking, so you guys can check it out.

I’m very impressed with what I saw from the trailer. I definitely had that same emotional reaction watching it a second time, and I just can’t wait to experience it.

E3 09: Rockstar Announces, Agent.

Posted in PS3 on June 3, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

Rockstar Games has announced a new Ps3 exclusive called, Agents. Not a lot has been said about the title yet, but it’s apparently going to be the “ultimate action game”, according to Sam Houser ( President & Co-Founder Of Rockstar Games).

All we really know about the game is this:

“Agent takes players on a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s.”

Even with little to no information about this game, I’m still very excited. Anything Rockstar does is definitely something I want to see right away, I just hope I can hold on until then.

E3 09: Final Fantasy XIV Online Revealed.

Posted in Uncategorized on June 3, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

One of the biggest surprises from Sony’s Press Conference, was the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV Online. Like, Holy Shit!.

The even bigger surprise is the fact it’s coming out in 2010 (Same year as XIII) and is a Sony exclusive. Crazy, right?

Anyways, check out the trailer below.

I’m going to stay optimistic but skeptical, information is very sparse as of right now.. but hopefully some details emerge soon. It sounds like it may be somewhat of a sequel to Final Fantasy XI, which was also online.

E3 09: Final Fantasy XIII Trailer.

Posted in PS3, Xbox 360 on June 3, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

Both Microsoft and Sony showed off new Final Fantasy XIII footage at their Press Conferences, but after seeing the Sony footage.. I just had to post it up here.

So let out your inner fan boy, and get excited for what’s to come by checking out the trailer below.

I’m still super excited for Final Fantasy XIII and can’t wait to get my hands on it. But until then I’ll have to keep myself entertained with all these gorgeous trailers.

E3 09: The Conduit, Resident Evil, And Dead Space.

Posted in Wii on June 2, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

At their conference, Nintendo showed off some of their big 3rd party exclusives, all of which are looking pretty awesome.

The first one to be shown was, The conduit, and it’s looking pretty good. It’s definitely a good thing they mentioned it at the show, because this game needs all of the exposure it can get if it has any chance of selling well. Hardcore + Wii = Where the money at?

Next up was Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, the sequel to Umbrella Chronicles.. and it’s looking pretty good. I didn’t pay much attention to the game initially, but after seeing it some more.. I realized how much I want this game.

And last but not least, Dead Space: Extraction. Now, this game looks completely bad ass. It looks gorgeous, and it looks like they’re taking full advantage of everything the Wii has to offer. Check it out.

Definitely check out these games if you own a Wii, they should all be out this year.. so keep an eye out!

E3 09: Metroid: Other M Announced

Posted in Wii on June 2, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

I think it’s safe to say that the biggest surprise to come out of the Nintendo Press Conference, was the announcement of Metroid: Other M. Which is a collaboration between Nintendo and Team Ninja (Makers of Ninja Gaiden), and looks to be a new take on the Metroid franchise.

Retro, the folks who previously brought us the Metroid Prime Trilogy, is said to be hard at work on a new game.

Anyways, check out the first official trailer for Metroid: Other M.

I definitely like what I’m seeing in the trailer. It looks to have more of a cinematic feel to it, which is definitely something new for the franchise.

But we’ll have to wait until 2010 to see how this new take on Metroid ends up turning out.

E3 09: Mario Galaxy 2!

Posted in Wii on June 2, 2009 by Tyler Zehner

The boring press conference Nintendo had, was somewhat saved with their announcement of Mario Galaxy 2. They showed off a trailer, and the game looks great, but looks very similar to the original (Duh!). But I did notice Yoshi.. So it looks like he may be a big part of the sequel.

I’m obviously going to play any 3D Mario that hits the Wii, even if it looks to be the same. But don’t expect to see Mario Galaxy 2 anytime  this year, you’ll have to wait until 2010, before you’ll be able to blast back off into this Galaxy.
